Universal challenges like draughts, rattles, energy inefficiency, external noise, and planning restrictions are easily tackled with secondary glazing.

Our handcrafted units sit neatly behind your existing window, adding an extra layer of soundproofing and heat retention without the need to replace your traditional windows.

Double the glass, half the heat loss.

Adding an extra pane of glass to your existing windows can reduce heat loss by up to 50% and strengthen security. Choose from standard float or toughened glass or upgrade to Pilkington K Glass™ for optimum thermal performance.

Superior sound insulation.

Ventrolla secondary glazing weakens sound waves for a more peaceful indoor environment. Choose from our standard 4mm float or upgrade to thicker 6mm+ laminated or acoustic glass for superior sound insulation.

Deliberately discreet design.

Handcrafted in aluminium with a premium timber reveal, our discreet secondary glazing is designed to preserve the historical features of your sash window with minimal sightlines, making it ideal for listed properties and buildings in conservation areas. For small to large-scale commercial installations there is a slightly thicker, heavy duty profile. Available in a range of colours and six opening styles to suit your heritage building perfectly.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

01

Do you use sustainable materials?

Whenever possible, we use sustainable and ethically sourced materials.

02

Do I need to replace my sash windows to make them energy-efficient?

No, our renovation and draught-proofing system enhances energy efficiency without the need for replacement.

03

I live in a listed building / conservation area – can you work on my windows?

Yes. We often work on listed properties and those within conservation areas and work closely with conservation and planning officers, English Heritage, Historic England, Historic Scotland and Cadw.

Will renovation reduce outside noise levels?

Noise is subjective, but our Secondary Glazing systems and the Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (draught proofing) have been independently tested and proven to significantly reduce sound intrusion.

05

How long will my window renovation take?

The time taken will vary depending on the survey result. Typically we work to renovate one window per day, although this can be adjusted to suit your requirements.
