Sash Removal System (SRS)

Maintenance mastery
Traditional sash windows, while beautiful, can be challenging with issues like lost sash cords and the need for scaffolding during routine maintenance.
Our signature SRS eliminates these frustrations, whether for existing or newly crafted windows. Its unique ‘brake’ mechanism secures sash cords firmly in place and allows for effortless removal of upper and lower sashes, providing unrestricted access to the box frame for easy maintenance.

The process
SRS for your existing sash windows.
If your existing windows are in good condition, the SRS can be fitted to significantly enhance their performance.
Restoration
Our master craftsmen meticulously restore each window, addressing issues like rotten timber and releasing stuck or painted-shut sashes. We apply our unique VR90 Wood Repair System, a two-part epoxy resin, to reinforce tenon joints and fill sill cavities, enhancing the strength and longevity of your windows.
SRS upgrade
We discreetly mount the SRS inside the sash, meaning it’s hidden both internally and eternally during normal use, preserving the beauty of your heritage windows. Our final quality inspection ensures optimal performance and operation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you need scaffolding?
Where possible we do all work in situ and take the sashes out from the inside of the property. Because of this, we ask that the rooms we will be working in are cleared, and we will dust sheet all furnishings. If scaffolding is necessary, i.e. there is limited access or for larger commercial projects, then we would always discuss this with you in advance of the order being placed.
