Sales Manager

The Sales Manager leads Ventrolla’s regional residential sales function, managing Heritage Sales Surveyors and Customer Sales Executives to deliver strong revenue growth, exceptional customer experience, and operational accuracy across all regions. The role ensures a seamless journey from first enquiry to order, reflecting Ventrolla’s commitment to premium heritage restoration quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership of Regional Sales Teams

  • Lead, coach, and support both Heritage Sales Surveyors and Customer Sales Executives across regions.
  • Ensure consistent standards in surveying, customer communication, and sales delivery.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, joint visits, and team development sessions.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members with Ventrolla’s internal technical and sales curriculum.

2. Drive Sales Performance & Conversion Excellence

  • Achieve order intake targets regionally and nationally.
  • Monitor and optimise three core conversion metrics
  • Enquiry → Survey
  • Survey → Order
  • Enquiry → Order
  • Track and improve regional sales activity, follow-up discipline, and quoting effectiveness.
  • Provide weekly sales performance reporting and pipeline forecasting to the Managing Director.

3. Heritage Surveying Accuracy & Customer Consultation

  • Ensure surveys are accurate, consistent, well‑scoped, and aligned to heritage/compliance expectations.
  • Support surveyors with complex sites, larger projects, or sensitive property types.
  • Reduce changes at Technical Survey stage through improved survey accuracy.

4. Customer Sales Execution & Enquiry Management

  • Oversee enquiries, follow-ups, appointment booking, and quotation preparation.
  • Ensure timely customer communication and professional presentation standards.
  • Maintain CRM discipline across all pipeline stages to ensure accurate reporting.

5. Customer Experience & Communication

  • Oversee the pre‑order customer journey, ensuring a premium, heritage‑focused consultation experience.
  • Resolve escalations related to surveys, quotes, or customer expectations.
  • Ensure team members deliver consistent tone of voice, professionalism, empathy, and clarity.

6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Technical Surveying, Production, Installations, and Marketing.
  • Provide regional insights for market opportunities or campaign targeting.
  • Ensure smooth handover from sales to operations for all orders.

Key Outputs & KPIs

· Regional and national order intake

  • Order conversion rates
  • Quote accuracy and customer satisfaction at survey/quotation stage
  • Regional CRM accuracy and data quality
  • Survey accuracy: minimal amendments entering production/technical stage

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience managing sales teams (regional or distributed preferred).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people‑development capability.
  • Strong communication and customer‑facing skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, manage pipelines, and interpret performance metrics.
  • Highly organised with strong follow‑through and accountability.
  • Comfortable managing a mixed team of technical surveyors and sales professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
