Inside our Harrogate workshop
Our Harrogate workshop has been operating for more than 15 years and remains the central manufacturing hub for UK heritage joinery.
Twenty-one people work here – eight bench joiners, two apprentices, two glaziers, a glazing and hardware technician, two finishers, a paint sprayer, a machinist, two warehouse operatives, a production manager, a factory planner and a warehouse and logistics supervisor.
Every window is built start to finish by the same bench joiner before being passed to the glazing and finishing team. We use longevity-focused materials such as Accoya where appropriate to reduce swelling and improve durability. Through bars are used in line with historic practice – we don’t use finger-jointing, duplex bars or stick-on bars unless required. From single bottom sash replacements to fully bespoke, colour-matched, dual-colour specifications, the Harrogate workshop delivers heritage joinery to the standard the town’s architecture demands.
