Sash Windows Restored In Seaside Hotel

Ventrolla checked in at the Wentworth Hotel, Suffolk to help refurbish a number of its bedrooms.

Wentworth Hotel, located in the seaside resort of Aldeburgh, is a family run hotel with 35 bedrooms dating back to 1830. Owner Michael Pritt said he has been calling on Ventrolla every time they had a renovation. Wentworth Hotel was the home of the Wentworth family and became a hotel in 1900. Michael’s grandfather George started the business in 1920 and in 1975 Michael took over.

He said that they first worked with Ventrolla in 2003 and have a collaboration since then every time they upgrade or renovate a bedroom as they were very satisfied with the results that allowed the building to retain its character.

Ventrolla used the Perimeter Sealing System to upgrade the windows that ensures sashes are balanced and slide efficiently and saves energy. The system has also proved effective at taming the winds that often batter the building. Michael said:

“There were rooms that could not be used due to bad weather as they could not be heated. Ventrolla gave the most effective solution and guests now have a pleasant stay.”

A spokesperson for Ventrolla added that the repeat business they have had with the hotel shows how efficient the Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System is. There was no need to replace a window and everything now works properly and smoothly.
