workshop

Did you know that all of Ventrolla’s timber sash windows are produced on-site in a state-of-the-art joinery workshop in beautiful Harrogate, Yorkshire?

What’s a joinery workshop like?

At Ventrolla, all timber sash windows are designed and built bespoke to a customer’s needs using the latest glass and frame technology. Thanks to the experience and skills of the workshop experts, windows can be produced quickly and efficiently to an exact specification without compromising on quality.

In the past few years, Ventrolla have invested heavily in the workshop, adding new machines and skilled bench joiners. All of the windows are manufactured using the finest hardwood timber and traditional joinery methods.

How is an order processed in the workshop?

Following the initial site visit and quote, a member of the team will pass all of the relevant dimensions and details on to the workshop. Once in possession of all of the relevant details, the master craftsmen set to work on building the window frame. Each frame features the unique Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS) for improved draught reduction. The frame is then sprayed with a high-build base coat and an anti-stain primer. High-quality double-glazing panes are inserted into hardwood frames with exact millimetre precision. Each unit is rigorously tested to FENSA and BSI standards before being transported for installation on-site.

What about repairs?

The workshop team also produce parts, spares, frames and glass panes to repair or restore traditional sash windows. By replacing worn or damaged parts, the experts in the workshop can make your timber sash windows as good as new.
