When upgrading or refurbishing windows on Listed Properties, or those within Conservation Areas, most councils and conservation officers would ask that you renovate your windows where possible, saving as much of the original window as possible. Renovation is nearly always preferable to replacement. We’ve helped many listed property owners through the planning application process, providing our window-by-window survey, sharing recommendations and any technical drawings or specifications needed to help the councils understand the work that will be undertaken.
Like everything in life, technology and functionality move on to find easier ways for everyday objects to work more smoothly, and we have used this same ethos to refine the classic sash window. Our Sash Removal System (SRS) ensures that cleaning, painting and maintenance can be done with minimal effort and a knowing smile on your face.
Like the final throw on the arm of a Chesterfield or the hanging of a collector’s edition print on a feature wall… it is the finishing touches that elevate everyday objects above and beyond. This is the role of our window furniture and at Ventrolla the selection truly respects the reputation of timber windows and embellishes them accordingly.
You’ll discover a choice of 4 finishes designed to dovetail beautifully with every home. They are all hand-forged using traditional skills, encompassing Chrome Plate, Satin Nickel, Polished Brass and Antique Brass. A sample of the selection available can be found in our Hardware Brochure, and our Installers will show you the range on offer on site.
We felt that the final key to trusting we offer a quality product & service was letting the experts test it and find the faults, if they could. Our Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS) was put through intensive independent testing to British Standards. The result proved the system improves energy efficiency, without altering the appearance of the windows.
VPSS ensures all the gaps around the sashes are closed, creating a fully sealed sash window or casement window. Furthermore, due to the low friction levels of the sealing system, the smooth sliding operation of the sashes is restored to full working order.
