Ventrolla has completed a five day project to renovate the period windows on a 19th century Cambridgeshire house.

The wooden front bay window on the property, which is owned by Michelle Wolfe, was carefully renovated and draught proofed as part of the project. Michelle said:

The original casements had been removed from the house in the 1970s, but the replacements chosen were ill-fitting and had deteriorated over the years. The original window frame was also starting to show some initial signs of wood rot.

It was after a heavy spell of rain which caused the casements to leak that I eventually decided it was time to take action. My neighbour had recently replaced their original casement windows with UPVC as they had deteriorated beyond repair.

“I thought it would be a great idea to save some of the original wood and glass and asked Ventrolla to use these materials to help restore my windows back to their former glory.”

“I was over the moon with the end result and the level of service I received from Ventrolla. My windows now look exactly like they would have done back in 1870.”

Ventrolla offers a bespoke renovation service for timber sliding sash and casement windows as well as timber doors. Its unique Perimeter Sealing System significantly improves the window’s performance and energy efficiency.

With its national headquarters in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Ventrolla operates via a network of regional offices throughout the UK and Ireland.
