Owners at The Cliffe Norton Hotel in Tenby, South Wales called upon sash window renovation experts Ventrolla to renovate the windows of their impressive early 19th century Grade II listed building.

The strong Welsh winds lashing the Pembrokeshire coast had taken their toll on the windows and they were in dire need of restoration.

Mr and Mrs Hayward, who run the hotel, had noticed draught and noise problems relating to the windows and were worried about the impact this was having on holidaymakers staying with them.

Firstly, the windows were repaired by replacing parts of rotten wood from the timber frames before the unique Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS) was installed to eliminate the draughts and rattles.

After slotting the sashes back in place, the windows were left in perfect working order, giving the building a new lease of life.

Mr Hayward is delighted the windows are now draught proofed, reducing noise from the wind as well as making the hotel warmer and more comfortable. He said:

Following the renovations, the windows exclude draughts very well and I have really felt the benefit of the work carried out. We can now offer warm, bright and cheerful rooms, spectacular views and a quieter, less draughty stay.

Situated just off the Tenby coast, the hotel offers panoramic views across the Fishing Harbour and Goskar Rock, North Beach.

Ventrolla offers a bespoke renovation service for timber sliding sash and casement windows as well as timber doors.  The central office is in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, with additional offices located throughout the UK and Ireland.
