A Georgian guest house dating back to the 1800s has been transformed into a modern eco hotel following a four week restoration project.
The Annesley House Hotel in Norwich has had over 20 original windows renovated by Ventrolla.
A pair of French doors, opening out onto the hotel’s award winning gardens, were also refurbished as part of the restoration and are in keeping with the hotels new green policy. David Reynolds, the owner of Annesley House, appointed Ventrolla to help restore the building and improve its sound insulation and draught proofing.
Ventrolla checked in at the Wentworth Hotel, Suffolk to help refurbish a number of its bedrooms.
The Wentworth Hotel, located in the seaside resort of Aldeburgh, is a family run hotel with 35 bedrooms dating back to 1830. Owner Michael Pritt said he has been calling on Ventrolla every time they had a renovation. Wentworth Hotel was the home of the Wentworth family and became a hotel in 1900. Michael’s grandfather George started the business in 1920 and in 1975 Michael took over.
He said that they first worked with Ventrolla in 2003 and have a collaboration since then every time they upgrade or renovate a bedroom as they were very satisfied with the results that allowed the building to retain its character.
