Ventrolla Ireland has successfully completed a major window renovation project at the polish embassy in Dublin.

“Being based in an old building, it needs a lot of care and attention so I am looking forward to the next stage of the renovation project where all our windows will receive the Ventrolla treatment.”

In total, 26 windows were restored at The Embassy using the unique Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS). This was installed into the gaps surrounding each sash to eradicate draughts.

Ventrolla also carried out a performance upgrade on the windows after the counter weight ropes were broken resulting in the windows falling independently. The sash cords were replaced, pulleys serviced and sashes correctly balanced to ensure a smooth and safer operation.

Krzysztof Kleiber, First Secretary of the Polish Embassy, said: “The sash windows have been given a new lease of life allowing us to open and close them with no problems.

I came across Ventrolla on the Internet and after receiving a number of quotes from other businesses, Ventrolla were the most cost-effective and professional company.”

With two of the windows being renovated in The Ambassadors office, Ventrolla was given strict deadlines to complete the work while he was out of the country.

Krzysztof added: “It was crucial we got the sash window renovation completed in time for the Ambassador’s return. Ventrolla worked quickly and efficiently with minimum disruption to achieve this.”

As part of the bigger restoration project, Ventrolla will return to the Polish Embassy in the New Year to complete a second phase of work. This will involve the renovation of a further 39 windows.

Krzysztof said: “Being based in an old building, it needs a lot of care and attention so I am looking forward to the next stage of the renovation project where all our windows will receive the Ventrolla treatment.”

The Polish Embassy has owned the 19th Century building in Ballsbridge since 1992, which is included on the Record of Protected Structures.

Ventrolla offers a bespoke renovation service for timber sliding sash and casement windows as well as timber doors.
