The Ventrolla Sash Removal System - painting made easy
For ease of painting and future maintenance, Ventrolla has developed their patented Sash Removal System. Just follow this simple step by step guide.
| 1. Remove the detachable staff bead(s), unclipping or unscrewing from the middle and working to the top.
2. Lift out the bottom sash and rest it internally on the base of the window.
3. Slide out the cord brake from its housing and push the brake to the top of the cord.
| 4. Unclip the sash cord from the sash. Repeat steps 3 & 4 on the opposite side of the sash.
5. The bottom sash is now fully released and can be removed.
6. Ease out the bottom two pile carriers using a chisel if required.
7. Pull down the top sash and remove the top three pile carriers.
8. Pull down the top sash inwards and unhook the sash cord holders on the top sash as described in Steps 3 & 4.
9. Remove the top sash internally allowing easy painting, cleaning and maintenance.
| There are five sections of parting bead - two sections on each side of the window and one at the top. (In order to remove the top sash it is necessary to remove the parting bead). |
| The parting bead is comprised of the pile carrier A and its holder B. The pile carrier A is designed to be prised away from its holder at one end, eased out and then removed. Clearly mark each section of parting bead indicating its location (e.g. bottom right)when removing for easy re-assembly |

Painting Tips
- We recommend the use of masking tape to avoid contamination of the brush pile when painting.
- Ventrolla cannot be held responsible for paint damage to brush pile.
- Do not expose components of Ventrolla's Perimeter Sealing System to excessive heat.
Replacing the Sashes
- To replace the sashes simply reverse the removal instructions, starting with the top sash.
- The staff beads should be replaced from the bottom upwards.
- Check that the pile in the lower sections is facing inwards when viewed from inside and that the upper pile sections are facing outwards.
