Having recently bought a two bedroom victorian flat in Bristol, we have chosen Ventrolla to replace our single glazed sash windows. During the site survey, David Tiller noticed areas of rot on a number of exterior window sills. This was missed not only by our building surveyor but by two other sash window renovation companies we received quotations from.

Because the defect was located on the exterior of the property, our Management Company agreed to pay the cost of repair. However, in an effort to keep costs down, they had intended to use a handyman - much to our concern. We asked Dave to write a letter outlining the benefits of using professionals to carry out the work and this was handed over to the Directors during the Management Company (MC) AGM a few days ago. As a result of the letter, our MC have now agreed to use Ventrolla to carry out the exterior repairs.

I am emailing firstly to commend Dave in writing such a convincing letter but also to point out how effective the letter was in persuading our MC to use professionals. Without it, I have little doubt that the MC would not have entertained the idea of paying for the work. This may have resulted in us having to use one of your competitors to replace our windows as the total cost of the work would have been unaffordable.

Please pass on our sincere thanks to Dave. From the outset he has been very professional, knowledgable and reliable. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ventrolla to others or asking you to complete future work for us.

The work was completed efficiently with no friction at any point, hence the 5 stars. The assessment of our windows was frank and honest, and demonstrated a willingness to do as I had asked, which was to see that they were put into a good condition. There was delay in doing the work, but right from the outset this was made clear. The work was completed according to the estimate. I would certainly use the firm again. The workman was scrupulous in ensuring that there was no unnecessary mess and everything was cleared up well.
