Where replacement sash windows are not an option we can manufacture and install complete new windows, including the box frame. As with our replacement double glazed sash windows we use slim glazing units which enables Ventrolla to manufacture sashes using traditional carpentry methods, including ‘through' or 'solid’ glazing bars, which help to retain the window's authentic feel and look.
Another main feature of the slim glazing unit is the reduced sightline of the spacer bar between the two panes of glass which enables Ventrolla to manufacture narrower glazing bars thereby allowing us to closely replicate the existing or original sashes.
We can manufacture complete new timber windows with either:
- Single glazed units - for use where historic protection applies, or
- Double glazed units - that comply with current Building Regulations, Part L
Slim 16mm (4/8/4) double glazed units utilising the latest Warm Edge Spacer Bar technology, Planitherm Total+ glass (outer pane) and gas filled cavity.
Centre Pane U-Value of 1.2 Wm²K
Total Window U-Value of 1.5 Wm²K
The new windows are manufactured from hardwood. The replacement sashes are manufactured using a range of selected traditional ‘through’ glazing bars, and are manufactured and hand finished by our skilled craftsmen.
VENTROLLA SASH REMOVAL SYSTEM (SRS) SPECIFICATION:
To assist with future maintenance and painting we can install our patented Sash Removal System (SRS) that enables both the top and bottom sashes to be removed for redecoration.
VENTROLLA PERIMETER SEALING SYSTEM (VPSS) SPECIFICATION:
All our new replacement sash windows include the unique VPSS draught system that has been tested to BS 6375-1 2009 Class 3, which is equivalent to 71mph winds.
The system is fitted by routing grooves into the mid-rail and bottom rail in the sashes, and within the inner face of casement windows, to which a pile carrier is fitted and appropriate height weatherfin pile installed.
New parting beads and staff beads are fitted that also incorporate the weatherfin pile, creating a fully sealed window.
The windows are supplied sprayed with a high build base coat and an anti-stain primer, ready for final finishing coat by others.
