Ventrolla South Yorkshire - Leopold Square

Ventrolla were brought in to assist in the renovation and conversion of Leopold Square in Sheffield. The building which was formerly Education Offices and prior to that The Central Technical School, has now been converted into luxury apartments. Working in conjunction with the main contractor, Gleeson Developments and Regeneration Ventrolla renovated 120 sash and casement windows.

Work carried out:

• Ventrolla's Wood Repair System VR90 was used to carry out repairs and fix scarfed in timber.

• All sashes were eased, adjusted as necessary and balanced.

• New sash cords were fitted and pulleys and hinges serviced.

• Windows were fully draughtproofed using Ventrolla's unique Perimeter Sealing System.

• Sash windows were fitted with the Ventrolla Sash Removal System, which allows quick and easy removal of sashes internally for future maintenance.

• Cills which were beyond repair were replaced.

• Faithfully reproducing original delicate glazing bars to replace damaged sections.

• Solid brass catches, sash lifts and security stops were fitted.
