Sash window renovation experts Ventrolla North East bowled over a local charity cricket match this summer by kindly sponsoring the match programme.
This year the annual cricket match, held at Undercliffe cricket club in Bradford, aimed to raise vital funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Undercliffe Cricket Club’s Treasurer, Nigel Allsop, said: “The day was a complete success, we had an excellent attendance to a superb game of cricket and most importantly we raised £2,200 on the day for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The donation from Ventrolla was greatly appreciated and without the support from local companies the air ambulance would not be able to continue the amazing work they do. On the afternoon of the match the Air Ambulance was called out on three missions, helping to save lives by quickly transporting them to the nearest hospital for treatment. We can’t thank Ventrolla enough.”
Ventrolla’s Managing Director David Greaves said: “We were delighted to be able to support the cricket match and help raise money for such a good cause.”
To keep both of Yorkshire’s ambulances in the air they need to raise £7200 per day, equivalent to £2.63 million per year. Both helicopters can reach speeds of up to 160mph and together can cover the whole of the region seven days a week, 365 days a year.
