This month saw heritage lovers enjoy four days’ worth of open days, celebrating England’s fantastic architecture and culture whilst offering free access to hundreds of public and private heritage properties.
Heritage Open Days took place between 6th and 9th of September with an amazing turnout of 60,000 visitors and 200 events taking place, the greatest number to date. These included festivities in castles, city halls, woodlands, workshops, tower tops and even tunnels.
The National Trust also threw open 142 of its doors, free of charge, for members of the public to come and enjoy the buildings history and culture.
Making all of this happen were 40,000 volunteers who can only be commended for their efforts and as renovation experts, also passionate about preserving the heritage of properties, Ventrolla are more than pleased to hear about this success.
Tying into their vision of renovation rather than replacement, the sash window services available from Ventrolla allow the character and history of a building to be maintained whilst also improving the performance and functionality of the windows themselves.
The Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS), tackling draughts and rattles as well as the Sash Removal System (SRS), allowing the entire window to be removed for maintenance and upkeep, are two products which make the preservation of heritage simple.
With over 25 years worth of experience and Ventrolla’s free, non-obligatory survey, which individually assesses each window in order to retain as much of the existing profile as possible, there has never been an easier way of breathing new life into old sash windows, improving both performance and aesthetics.
